ABOUT THE ARTIST
I'm Marcell, the artist behind Artistic Obsessions. I'm drawn to materials that can be pushed, layered, textured, and transformed—usually with more curiosity than strict planning. What began as a love of making things has become an ongoing experiment in turning color, stone, texture, and unexpected ideas into one-of-a-kind work.
THE WORK
Artistic Obsessions is built around experimentation—casting materials, pigments, metallics, texture, light, and whatever else sparks curiosity. I create one-of-a-kind vessels, planters, functional pieces, and sculptural work inspired by stone, minerals, organic forms, and the occasional creative accident worth keeping.
THE PROCESS
The process is part planning, part instinct, and a lot of experimentation. I mix, pour, layer, carve, texture, pigment, and occasionally push materials somewhere they were probably never intended to go. Some ideas work beautifully. Some fail spectacularly. Both usually lead to the next piece.
